Cleveland Cavaliers Head Coach Mike Brown is a self proclaimed defensive minded coach first and foremost. Brown deserves credit for changing the Cleveland attitude and making them a team that takes pride in defense. As Brown puts it, "The wild west with their OK Corral teams like Golden State and Phoenix that try to outscore you, don't win. But an offense can't turn any uglier than the one Brown uses for his Cavalier team. Enough of watching LeBron James pound the ball from side to side at the top of the key against a box and one defense. Off of this either one of two scenarios happens: Either LeBron goes with a high screen and roll with Anderson Varejao or the same pair use a side screen and roll. James has some tremendous physical assets and the intuitive ability to see the game move a play or two ahead and often uses that ability to score some baskets. A coach with talent has to find ways to provide that talent with more offensive options than just watching LeBron James dribble around and think of something. Sometimes the addition of a Offensive Assistant Coach is the only way to change things for the better. Mike Brown seems like a great guy and he's a very sharp dresser- BUT Mike - we need some help in our Offensive Creativity ---Please!
